Though the details are hard to decipher from the press release it would appear that this self released album is shrouded in sadness due to Ogni Dove's (Andrea Gabriele) recent loss of friend and musical collaborator Mario Masullo. Part tribute, part unfinished collaboration, this self titled LP takes the remnants of Masullo's digital data-bank and realizes them as fully formed, articulate compositions. Gabriele's take on electronic pop is both delicate and otherworldly. Digital chimes, vibraphone, harp, glockenspiel and varying string instruments make regular appearances and the majority of the tracks also feature breezy, hushed vocals. Hard to pin this one down to specific artist references but it's in the vein of ambient electronic music whilst also doing us the courtesy of chucking a few actual songs into the mix. The B-side varies in the sense that the music is much sparser and sketch book like with Masullo's field recordings taking centre stage with only the lightest touches of synth or vocal added to enhance the tracks. Brittle and heartfelt compositions.
