Two new split 7"s in this week from The Great Pop Supplement of which this is one. You're all probably aware of the sunny West Coast psych hooks of The See See and they don't disappoint here with a track that sits somewhere between the harmony drenched sound of Crosby, Stills and Nash and the bass line heavy groove of a Wooden Shjips tune. The result is a Coral-esque psych pop extravaganza. Flip it and a new Wirral-based band called By The Sea deliver a sea shanty shuffle complete with chiming guitars and warm baritone vocals. These lads pull no punches. We're talking solid vocal melodies and that reverb drenched guitar sound we are all growing to love. Nice psych 7".
