The greatest musical pairing since Pavarotti and Bono - The collision of two musical titans, together at last - only one can survive. The winner will get to ingest the loser and then shit him out of his little tiny poophole over a period of a thousand years...that's the prize. Who will win? Who cares!?! Will it be Martin Rev, whose composition "Coyote" is akin to being dragged into a New Age nightmare by a man with 10 legs and a hamster for an eyebrow. It's not too bad. It kind of washes over you like a wave of technicolour ambience. Or summat. Fuxa's side is titled "Marty Suicide" and is also a haunting audio foray into yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah. It's not too offensive though. I thought of the two songs this was definitely the stronger...y'know, it has a tune. It's kind of drifty, you might call it "Celestial" or "otherworldly" but by the time you've said these words I've moved into the next room and am playing GTA 4 while listening to Deicide. All "japery" aside this record is quite interesting and a sweet release from the ones who are called Great Pop Supplement. I almost forgot to mention it's on a coloured disc and the ace artwork is done by Anthony Ausgang. Two thumbs fresh.
