6/10 Chips Daily Customer review, 19th February 2014

I personally loved this track the very first time I heard it... On Zombies 'Dedication', which for me was an otherwise unmemorable album. It's one of those hypnotic, repetitive tracks that splutters along, with just enough detail and character to keep you engaged. It has a lovely stuttering vocal hook, sat above quite an old-school sound. It could quite easily be from some alternative dimension 1991. There is no real drum-track to speak of, so I quite admire how they didn't make it into a full on banger (which could have been so easily done). When you're in the right mood it's perfect. Anywhooo! I've read a few articles stating that this track was originally created by Reark, in the form of a simple looped pattern. The two of them planned a collaboration, Reark sent him the stems, Zombie finished the track on his own by making a few rather minor alterations, and released it on his album with no credit whatsoever to the guy who created it originally. Massive shame. I can now understand why I didn't much like the rest of Zomby's work. Good track anyway, well worth a punt. I have to say I'm glad they issued it on vinyl so I didn't have to buy the whole album.
