The eponymous debut from Seattle's The Head And The Heart is fairly run-of-the-mill heartfelt indie-folk/Americana/Singer-Songwriter type stuff in the main but there are a couple of tracks that make this album worth its salt. "Rivers And Roads" makes good use of boy-girl harmonies, in fact when Charity Rose Thielen's vocals come through on their own, it makes me think why she doesn't have more of a starring role vocally as her voice sounds quite special. She does get her chance midway through "Winter Song" though, and it's all the better for it.
