Crackers stuff from this Berlin artist who takes inspiration from Stockhausen for his constantly evolving & absurd compositions where the human voice gets treated to some proper electronic processing with all manner of analogue bleeps, filters (Sherman Filterbank 2!!!) and lord knows what else, shifting around dynamically. I was amazed to learn that this chap has been brandishing his eccentricity like a weapon since the 60's and was even a member of D.A.F for some time. These recordings are manipulations of analogue sounds created on the Black Box modular system back in 1995 at Amsterdam's famous STEIM studios. What shines through is a relentless spirit of experimentation which feels both highly skilled yet also primitive. This is a veritable sonic feast of electronic squiggles and highly cerebral mind-melting electronics which I can highly recommend. Edition of 500 copies on 140g vinyl in quality sleeve which in turn is housed in a lovely screen printed PVC Sleeve.
