Minimalist spacious songsmithery from Terror Bird who are from the good ole US of A. They have a stripped down sound that relies on space and mood. The title track "Waiting For Nothing" is three (ish) minutes of lush melodies and sparse arrangements. I quite enjoyed that. It's not like a million instruments clamouring for your attention - just a couple of synths, drums, vocals and a whole lot of fun. The second track on side A is called "She Kissed Me And I fell Ill" which sounds pretty good and is about the time I tried to get off with Maggie Thatcher in a seedy night club in Droitwich in maybe 1983. She was quite the handful that night. They don't call her The Iron Lady for nothing. Her clothes were impeccably well pressed. She threw her arms around me and... (enough already!!!).
A pretty strong offering from Terror Bird... which was also my pet name for Maggie Thatcher.. Ace..
