8/10 Brian Staff review, 17 March 2011

With a suitably doomy sleeve, this CD comes at me brandishing a visceral objective. One which includes the teasing of the ghosts of Industrial, EBM, New Beat & blood spattered 70's Horror prog into a frenzy of malevolent musical haunting & intoxicating sound art-noir. It's a sinister old listen with foreboding church-y organs, dank sewer-like effects, tendrils of terror inducing sound, portentous percussive misanthropy, darkly intoned lyrical concerns & Satanic sounding dystopian synths. It's not as in-your-face or nearly as aggressive as you'd expect from these weighty descriptions, it's just the palpable sense of uneasy I feel creeping through my soul during this journey through the many tracks on offer here is very real. On the whole it would make an excellent soundtrack and many of the passages are undeniably affecting, especially the beautiful wistful astral drones of 'Melancholia'. Curious stuff from the edge of the abyss.
