Tracks were sourced from rare 45's and EP's. Reading the sleevenotes, at the height of his career, this man was averaging 50 full-length scores a year. That's like one a week! Tracks were sourced from rare 45's and EP's. Reading the sleevenotes, at the height of his career, this man was averaging 50 full-length scores a year. That's like one a week! No slouch then, but he did have a habit of recycling other studio stock which I guess can be viewed as an early form of sampling. However the naughty chap managed to erase many original master tapes during the process - Whoops! The music is all decent fun here but if I was torn between this release and last weeks Play That Beat Mr Raja - Selected Oddities From The Tamil Film Industry, 1984-1991 I would choose the latter as that is totally bonkers. The vinyl comes as two separate volumes.
