Garbes used to freak it in Raccoo-oo-oon and these days in Wet Hair. Both bands have laid down some killers in their time but I've not heard Ryan perform solo until this moment. I guess he's muti-tracked all his playing here, giving the drums a good old beating, hammering away on the trusty guitar and even going to town on the organ. Initially things feel real loose and scrappy but once you get into his mode, his vision becomes more clear and although these are basically wild jams occasionally a tune threatens to break out and surface before the cacophony continues, and then again shifts in a new and unexpected direction. He totally nails it on each track, and I'd say the man did good if melting minds were his mission objective. Just 100 copies on heavy virgin wax.
