Okay, so the deal here is if you got down with that Sublime Frequencies 'Shadow Music Of Thailand' LP then you're gonna digging this record too, as these guys featured quite heavily on that compilation. I find this music a whole lot of fun and sometimes very uplifting. Now these tunes are unmistakably Thai at their core but have mutated due to heavy pop and rock influences from the west. This hybrid oozes energy, has lashings of funk, soul and even bits of surf, go-go, garage rock etc. The combination of traditional Thai instruments, drums, electric guitars and keyboards makes for a vibrant sound that has won me over with its charms.
