Wow, speak of the devil. I liked the first album by these; I mean really it was all about 'Blind' which is a total fucking tune but the rest of it was pretty cool too I thought. If you want to read about their past career check out the press release on this one, it's a right bloody epic. Hmm.. New vocalists apparently. That guy from Bloc Party's on here somewhere. Antony's not. Weird how they're on Moshi Moshi now. Brushing the random time wasting observations aside since I'm now a couple of tracks in, I reckon it's sounding good. Not a far cry from the satisfying house/techno/disco/new wave/synthpop hybrid of the first record but then there's no reason why it should be when that one secured so much acclaim. Proper hedonistic Studio 54 shit but heavily laced with vulnerability and doubt.. A nice mixture.
