6/10 Clinton Staff review, 09 December 2010

The ploddy drum machine doesn't exactly excite but the noisy guitars and distorted vocals plonked on top, recalling Kurt Vile or Gary War, attempt to make up for it and do a decent job, particularly when the vocalist goes a bit mental halfway through and repeats the same line ad nauseum creating a disconcerting effect. Where's it going? I'm not really sure. The B-side - again the drum machine puts in a very lazy effort but here the music recalls Suicide if they'd been let loose on a cheery old 70s Bontempi organ. A kraut groove and distorted twisted vocals with ice rink organ interjections. Kind of fun.
