Hello. This week we got a bunch of titles in on the Databloem label which is a Dutch ambient label. Hello. This week we got a bunch of titles in on the Databloem label which is a Dutch ambient label. Not a label with which I was familiar before but I was struck by the delicious packaging which is delightful. I'm drawn to the vivid colours on there like some sort of obsessed moth. We got a bunch of promos in from the label and I thought they were good so we got a bunch in. Pleq is a dude from Poland and Segue is a dude from Canada and they probably met on a plane or something and wrote this delightful album of drifty warm electronic ambience. There's some tracks with nice clicky hiss in the background interspersed with some melodic piano. I'm reasonably familiar with both artist's work and it genuinely sounds like you can hear both artists in there and together they've made this ace collaboration which really works. You get some tracks by each artist but there's a few collaborative tracks on there and they're the ones that work for me. These guys are like the Two Ronnies of ambience and electronica. Check it out!
