More sounds from the early 80s. A dinky little drum machine stolen from the first Field Mice single keeps time while some nice melodic guitar and bass interplay goes on. This recalls Savage Republic if they were signed to Sarah Records, the guitar sounding a little bit Felt. Halfway through the whole thing goes utterly doo-lally. What on Earth is going on? I have absolutely no idea. The B-side is recorded live in concert and is an oddball off-kilter funk workout, slightly scary at times but then quite jaunty. Somehow it's somewhere between Big Black and The Smiths (thanks Brian - that saves me trying to describe this weird little record).
