A hypnotic, laid back affair, the new single from Lower Dens is. It's what you might call slacker rock if you worked for the NME or summat. Or if you don't happen to be a scribe for any music mag and are just plain lazy. It sort of ambles along with all the urgency of a jobless heading to the Jobcentre for a re-start interview. This Maryland pop combo have a sort of psychedelic garage sound. I'm not sure Batman would listen to this sort of thing on his Bat-Pod. I reckon he's more of a Jay-Z or Gnarls Barkley type. The flip side didn't grab me at all. A sort of lank ballad that pissed me off within 30 seconds of listening to it. The title track's alright though. Woozy garage rock goodness.
