Gary War has always been a favorite of the office. Mainly cos he's mad as lorries and we like a bit of that here. I've always enjoyed the whole underwatery wobblyness of his sound. it's kind of disconcerting. His new EP sees him going in a massively poppier synthy direction. The music is super busy with loads of things going left right and centre but underneath it all is a pop sensibility which lends it's guiding hand to get you through both sides with a fat smile on your face. There's still the wobbly voice things going on and if you're after a comparison then I reckon he sounds a bit like Ariel Pink on acid! It's insanely upbeat prog pop smothered in loads of crazy synth sounds and if that sounds like it's up your alley then check it out!
