I don't know quite what I was expecting from this one (big picture of a cow's face on the cover, production handled by Paul Leary who's done the duty for his own Butthole Surfers, Meat Puppets, Daniel Johnston etc.) but I wasn't expecting the first tune to sound like it could've been on the first Pipettes LP, albeit with an amusingly (and hopefully intentionally) toneless bloke singing away on it rather than three girls of charmingly variable vocal ability. The second one makes a bit more sense, being all noisy and hazy and sounding a bit like the Young Gods or something, before the third goes back to the off-key girl group pop template. 'Marty Feldman Eyes' is a wonky piano ballad which collapses chaotically in on itself before the end and it all finishes up with a final track which lasts all of two seconds but still manages to include one of those comically 'boing-oing' noises like Sid James just got a woody. A peculiar pleasure..
