Aw, fanksh Blackesht Rainbow! I've been after something by this guy for a while, having become intrigued and entranced by the oddly psychedelic sadness of his tender folk guitar playing and tremulous, vulnerable and sometimes effect-laden voice, but that last '10 Days Butterfly' job he did for PSF was selling for the terrifying price of fifty-odd quid back when it came out and I am but a pauper so that was out of the question, unlike this new 'un which I imagine can only be at the very least the equal of that PSF edition in terms of presentation, what with its lovely gatefold sleeve and booklet which displays the lyrics in both English and the native Korean (and finally confirms to me that the words are indeed as beautiful as I'd suspected). As is seemingly his habit, many (or all? I can't say I'm enough of an expert to be sure) of the tracks here are re-recordings of previous songs, quite stripped-down in the cases of the ones I recognised and with the changes definitely being totally positive ones as far as I'm concerned.. Which surely makes this a perfect introduction as it's essentially a compilation of sorts! I guess the stumbling block for many (like the rest of the inhabitants of our office) will be his voice, which is obviously a bit of an Antony-esque acquired taste, but the soundclips should give you a decent idea of whether it's gonna be for you or not. It's deffoes for me, I'll tell you that much..
