This is an album stuffed full of thrillingly muddied ambience - on the first passage I listen to there's these strangely calm post-apocalyptic atmospherics (remember Salad Fingers?), poorly shards of mewling synth, melancholy acoustic guitar passages plus flecks of much other instrumentation blurred into this dystopian textural travelogue. The second track has a beat on it like a freshly run over cat whilst a reedy, piercing noise like a processed bagpipe guitar meanders all over the shop. Then the UFOs come. I always like it when the UFOs come. The second blank labeled side (or maybe the first, I'm not that fucking bright!) is just as sinister & unnerving. If I listened to this album on my headphones i'd probably emit a sizeable bobby into my undercrackers. This guy sounds like he likes sitting in graveyards at the dead of night for inspiration. Not a goth, just a totally committed artist with some totally immersive shit happening down on tapes, CDrs & now - proper limited wax. There's some stuff on one tune may well appeal to you Forest Swords fans. Last track is a bit lighter of mood - has sorta kosmische funeral parlour vibe. Like, totally Weird dudes....
