9/10 Brett Staff review, 07 October 2010

This guy's well good as I'm sure you well know. This was his debut album, released almost a decade ago, and in the time since its release the number of people trying to straddle the boundary between ambience and noise has grown to fairly insane levels. Nonetheless, even amidst the currently hyperoversaturated market, there's always time for Timmy! If you're used to his more complex current sound this one might, at first, appear somewhat simplistic in comparison, lacking the bass throbs and dense, bilious clouds of strangely comforting noisiness, but it's got its own characteristic charms. Particularly the increased emphasis on glitchy electronics which indicate his more techno-leaning roots. Totally worth picking up in either its CD form or on vinyl for the first time EVER EVER EVER.
