Don't know much about this little entry into the Norman records shop and archive facility but I've been informed by the lads that it's on the same label as the recent Weed Diamond record we've had in stock. 8/10 Li'l Biz Staff review, 18 October 2010

Don't know much about this little entry into the Norman records shop and archive facility but I've been informed by the lads that it's on the same label as the recent Weed Diamond record we've had in stock. There are five tracks by each artist beginning with Kevin Greenspon who trades in upbeat, emotive indie rock i associate with the mid-nineties American college rock stuff. These tracks are rocking fun and drenched heavily in reverb which gives them an occasional shoe-gazey vibe but generally we're talking well executed lo-fi indie rock. Cloud Nothings are an all together wilder proposition with opener 'Underwater We Make Friends' kicking thinks off with over amped garage rock sounds mashed up with some mental harmonica playing. From there they settle into primitive Soft Pack style, psych influenced catchy garage rock with sweet hooks and lively solo's. The super lo-fi, distortion enhanced recording only adds to atmosphere and makes for excellent ear candy.
