We got a bunch of things in this week from Reverb Worship. I randomly picked up this Underwater Wind CD mainly 'cos I liked the name as it conjured up amusing (recent) memories from bathtime! Still the less said about that the better! It's only been on for 2 minutes while I've been writing my opening gambit and already I'm sucked into it's odd little world. The opener is a weird percussive beast with tribal rhythms and weird noises. There's a whole weird psychedelic spaced out vibe throughout the album which is pretty lo-fi in essence. 'Scratching The Surface' has loads of weird electronic space noises and some super low bass squashing your brain into submission. It's all very aquatic sounding! It's an album which is gonna take you to places you didn't know existed but only if you're prepared to be taken there. Enter at your own peril...... It's really rather good!
