Big Blood is a musical duo consisting of Caleb Mulkerin and Colleen Kinsella who play in Cerberus Shoal and Fire on Fire respectively. When they are together they do something different like making weird instrumental tapes for Cabin Floor Esoterica and the like. This looks like a proper record for real and it comes on a CD and everything so I think it's a serious thing. Details are vague but that's fine with me, I've got too much of this press release info clogging up my brain space anyway. First impressions are of a lo-fi blues slash lo-fi country folk type thing. The vocals are a hollering and the harmonies are rudimentary and fun. The guitars are picky in parts but sometimes they wail too, which is what I want to hear. Brian says it sounds a little like Fire On Fire which is a well observed observation worth noting.
