8/10 Dave Staff review, 08 July 2010

The idea of comedy in music is not everyone's cup of tea. Some times it works (Jasper Carrot, Richard Digence, Nils Frahm) sometimes it doesn't (come back Deicide all is forgiven). Now stepping into the fore are The Dagger Brothers who are an enchanting proposition. They sound like Heaven 17 fisting the bejesus out of that guy from the Human League. They dont fail to raise a smile with their songs about Ibiza and girls that look like darts genius Eric Bristowe. Even though it's what you might call novelty the musicanship's amazing and it's disarmingly catchy. You should also check out some of their press shot on the old interweb. Comedy gold dosen't even do them justice. A funny refreshing poke into the eye of whey-faced 80s influenced hipsters everywhere.
