9/10 Luke Knight Customer review, 9th November 2015

CMYK's title track is a extremely creative blend of styles, and CMYK refers to the four inks used in some color printing which I guess is why Blake chose the title he did because the track blends R&B samples from "Caught Out There" by Kelis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3JFwd1bk4Q the signature lyrical motif " Look I found her red coat" taken from this track is modulated by Blake so masterfully it's a glimpse into the future of beautiful organic sounding vocal manipulation.

CMYK also samples Aaliyah's "are you that somebody" throwing the two songs back and forth against each other and surrounding them with rich synthesizers.

The rest of the EP is a similar vein to the title track using hip hop samples and then layering with horns, synths and beats.
