It doesn't seem that long ago that i was reviewing Cohen's debut solo effort 'The Two sides of Tim Cohen' and there's been a bunch of Fresh & Onlys releases come out since then! This guy is prolific! And good too! So, album number two is here and it's a corker, jam packed with country infused indie pop ditties. 'Laugh Tracks' feels a little more fleshed out this time around so the exploration of styles isn't as deep but the overall songwriting seems way more focused and the addition of a horn section really livens preceding up. First listen highlights include the mariachi meets classic British psych of 'A Mind Of Their Own' and country teaser 'Laughter' that features a beaut' of a harmonica solo and some great crooning. This needs more time to absorb the details and get into the lyrics but I'm well into what I've heard so far. Probably better than the first, certainly a more mature effort and again, the sleeve features great Cohen artwork. Not bad.
