Flaws by Bombay Bicycle Club

Bombay Bicycle Club had already released something of a classic in their debut I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose but the follow up Flaws is a very different but equally good missive. It takes influence from the likes of the Harry Smith Anthology, Nick Drake and John Martyn on an album of heart swelling acoustic beauty and fingerpicked glory.

8/10 Jack 12th November 2015

The 2nd album from U.K. band who released the outstanding debut I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose. Flaws is a completely different animal--filled with purely acoustic folk/pop songs that are beautiful & compelling in their straightforward, thoughtful simplicity. Vocalist Jack Steadman has a subtly emotional & riveting voice that adds power to the originals, as well as covers of John Martyn & Joanna Newsom. The album has the qualities of someone you meet for the first time and dismiss, who later becomes a valued friend.
