Bit mysterious this one. It's the first release from new label Cologne and it would appear to be some sort of super collaboration featuring Ada, Axel Willner (THE FIELD), Jorg Burger (MODERNIST, BURGER & VOIGT), Philipp Janzen (VON SPAR), John Stainer (BATTLES), Jens-Uwe beyer (POPNONAME), John Harten and Daniel Ansorge as well as other friends from the label's entourage like Mario Katz, Michael
Heydebereck and Volker Pannes (DEEPULSE). Well, with that sort of talent onboard it's no surprise to hear that this is a great 12" EP. It starts out with some fun audio gibberish that sets the scene before they collectively delve into pure Soft Machine territory with a krautrock inspired synth space jam. Some of the tones used here are absolutely killer! Real beauties i say. The B-side takes a similar route, beginning with a loose collage of a tune before evolving into two sprawling epics; one, a minimalist techno effort, and the second, a Neu rip of the highest possible quality that reminds me of the precision and dedication to the cause you might hear on the new BEAK> LP. I really couldn't say enough nice things about these guys...they're gonna be really big stars!
