Well I wasn't expecting a 7" from these guys - thought they were confined mainly to the digital realm these days. This A-side track appears to be a cool remix of one of the last mini-album highlights and is a sublime journey consisting of wistful vocals, a skittering drum machine, spangled guitars & this euphoric shimmering cosmic synth that bubbles & flutters epically throughout the extended coda. Nice tune! Dave is reminded of the Lightning Seeds, I think that's probably doing them a disservice but I can hear parallels in the vocal stylings. The exclusive flip is 'Any Second Now', a largely acoustic Depeche Mode cover with accordian & angelic vocals. Quite reminds me of Tunng with all its twinklesome melancholy! Heavyweight 7" of limited proportions.
