- Awesome Sneakers by The 1959 Hat Company
Another 3" CD! This one a cheeky Weepop! number with it roots firmly based in indie and pop. I like the name.... More importantly I like hats. And now my media player has frozen... Balls! Man I can't play anything now. Fuck it, headphones off... Am off to the stereo. Right I can hear it now. This is a tasteful indie pop ditty about someone who has a great pair of trainers done in a very Apples In Stereo pure pop kinda way. On 'Amber Brown Assembly Line' you get some nice 50's style reverb and it's a much more sombre affair with some belting guitar running through it. Finally you get 'Midst of Seasons' which is a totally lazy hazy summery indie pop tune with man and guitar which is saccharine sweet. All in all a decent EP!
