Sooo.. The first one of these Immer mixes was a bit of a landmark release for minimal techno uber-label Kompakt back in 2002 and you should probably all buy it 'cos it's right good. The second one I never heard so essentially it doesn't exist. I approached this third installment with a little bit of trepidation as some of the track selections looked a bit weird, in particular the ones from Massive Attack and Charlotte Gainsbourg but it's all worked out pretty nicely in the end since Gui Boratto and Superpitcher take on the remix duties on those particular tracks. As is consistent for the series it's quite a subtle, unassuming mix which straddles the middle ground between the club-oriented Total series and what you might expect to hear on the more textural Pop Ambient compilations. Perfect working/background music, in other words, in the best possible sense.
