8/10 Brett Staff review, 10 June 2010
I can't remember a great deal about the Oh No Ono album except for the fact that Clinton was pretty keen on it. Not much of a frame of references for this set of remixes but I'll give it a shot.. Man of the moment Caribou contributes a surprisingly straight-up techno banger that's undoubtedly the main draw with its waves of satisfyingly battering percussion. The second track is (I guess) them remixing themselves in a style which recalls quite a lot of Zomby's stuff with its gloopy 8-bit stylings.. Perhaps like a poppier version of some of the stuff he did in that Hyperdub double pack. Zambri isn't Zomby and his mix is more chaotic and stop-start while The Depreciation Guild do a bit of a dubby, shoegazey job of things.
