This is one of those records that I couldn't work out who on earth it was by as it doesn't say on the sleeve. So whoever designs record sleeves out there and is reading this - please take note that it's extremely annoying for people who work in record shops. Whinging aside (I am incapable of not whinging) it's a nice cover with a large patterny thing on it, which has loads of ears on there - or maybe pretzels? Someone please put me out of misery! This is an interesting sounding record. It's mixed by Minotaur Shock's David Edwards and his paw prints are all over it. It's got 2 sides to it... a gentle poppyness which reminds of bands like Maps and a much quirkier, playful side with these weird noises kicking about the shop ala Black Dice. The flipside (coconut) is a much more lively afro-beat styled affair with loads of interesting percussion and that. It's a pretty cool little 7" this one!
