8/10 Clinton Staff review, 11 June 2010

Seems to be a track from Yann Tiersen's upcoming album which contains his own version plus attempts by Deadverse, Chapelier Fou and Third Eye Foundation. The lead track is a rambunctious stompalong with predictably amazing strings and Tiersen in a low gravelly voice spelling out the title. Deadverse take out the strings and add Silver Apples style rhythms and My Bloody Valentine distorted noises, Chapeloer Fou break open the vocoder and soften the whole thing up whilst Third Eye Foundation do a deep dark dubby mix. I guess the problem with this overall is that track is just a variation of the original and no-one really takes the thing apart and puts it together in a different way. But taken in isolation all the tracks are pretty decent.
