Tomáš Dvořák is a Czech composer, musician and graphic artist who's been playing and composing music since 1996 focusing on the collision of fine arts and music. In that time he has contributed to several compilations and released his demo Hub via the internet. In 2001 he released his debut album Pocustone that bridges relatively distinct genres such as nu-jazz, electronic and modern contemporary music which led to the opportunity to produce the music for Machinarium, a point and click PC adventure game by Amantina Design. Dvořák's compositional skills are totally suited to such a project so it comes as no suprise that this is mint. The majority of material here plays to the atmosphere of the game so it feels both dramatic and rather cute, as all good video game soundtracks should be. Totally intriguing release this. I urge you to check it out... The game looks ace too. Oh yeah, each copy is signed by the author himself and contains three art prints from graphic artist Adolf Lachman.
