4/10 Brian Staff review, 29 April 2010

Bugger. I was doing so well. Imagine a turgid cross between Kasabian, Doves, Chris Rea & Embrace with "epic" shoegaze guitars zinging off everywhere. It also calls to mind a single by The Music on 33 instead of 45. The vocalist has one of those gravelly pronounced styles where he sings everything really carefully so all the numpties trancing out at 3 in the afternoon at the Bognor Regis festival in the park after too many cans of Carling can understand his chest beating rhetoric about revolutions & the like. We all think this is pretty appaling here but I'm confident its got undoubted anthemic qualities that could unite the nation in these stressful political times :-}

8/10 Paul Customer review, 30th April 2010

Personally, I like this record.  It's VERY reminiscent of Verve (before they became THE Verve and wimped out), but that's not a bad thing.  Exit Calm's previous single 'We're On Our Own' (shouldn't that read 'We're On Us Own' being that the band are from Barnsley?) was utterly magnificent.  This single's not quite up there, but it's a nice little taster of the album due in May 2010.
