No press info for this one but it 'dunt really matta' as i'm pretty familiar with the artists presented here. Nadja are the duo of Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff who kick out two 'movements' here entitled 'A wasp flying around the sugar jar' and 'Trapped in the Jar' that appear to be the musical narrative to the story of a fly's short lived and slightly upsetting life cycle. It's relatively minimal stuff with spooky atmospherics and slumbering bass line's accompanying by vaguely 'fly' like buzzing and genuinely harrowing vocal chirps and growls. Well doomy. Ovo are an excellent Italian duo with links to the Load label and on 'movements' three and four ('Put Some Sugar in my Cup, Please' and 'Drowned In Coffee') they pick up where Nadja left of with slabs of ultra slow lo-fi doom sealing the fate of this poor bastard fly and his shitty existence. Deep bass and disturbing vocal contributions keep this one ticking nice and steadily. It's Das Double DOOM kids!
