What has happened? I made Brett cry earlier on when I shook the new Pipettes single in his face. Perhaps a cruel gesture as he is a big fan of their initial output (and Rose McDougall with her delicious baking products) but now they've returned as some kind of teeth gratingly bad europap duo without any of their initial charm or flair. Or members. Or songs. This one is called 'Stop The Music' (just begging for a cutting review, obviously) and sounds marginally less tedious than the last Goldfrapp single. The B-side 'So I'll Say Goodbye' is even fucking WORSE not to mention the remixes. Justus Kohnke from Kompakt cannot bolster the credibility of this embarrassing mess. One for the nippers methinks......
