More maverick moves from Warp, this time it's a 12" from The Hundred In The Hands who are the Brooklyn based duo of Eleanor Everdell and Jason Friedman. This is one of those genre hopping singles that is driving enough to be considered post punk rockin' whilst maintaining a dubby dancefloor feel. Late era Clash style guitars and reggae tinged synth bass battle it out with a lively beat that merges live and electronic drums to great effect. Remixes come courtesy of Kyle Hall (who brings a little of the Detroit vibe to proceedings with a sweet soft synths and a skronking bass line workout), Various Productions (who reworks the original vocal in a High Places style whilst fully bringing the bass line) and Maxime (favouring an arpegiated bass line and an abstract disco feel) who all do a sterling job with the source material.
