After winding the gaffer up this morning he opted to take a considered type of revenge out on me by giving me all the big fat mature epic rock bollocks that had come in this week. The Unwinding Hours sound like Coldplay doing muscly post rock, or Mogwai crossed with Maps maybe. This means that the production is pretty powerful & widescreen but you can't see the band when they play live for loads of girls waving their arms around to the blissed epic codas & sweeping melodic melancholia (IE Hollyoaks background music). The nucleus of the band stem from popular Scots rockists Aereogramme but i'm none the wiser to whether they were any cop or not listening to this super mature & "epic" take on the what i'd term the "Snow Patrol sound" Quality "MUMROCKtm"
