The Dum Dum Girls single is reassuringly straightforward. It makes jail sound like a good place to be. It's a catchy little number and it doesn't deviate from the verse chorus verse school of songwriting. The vocal harmonies are simply gorgeous and the production is suitably scratchy. It reminds me of something like The Germs. It's a good single with a good sleeve. Side B is a strange beast. A cloaked in reverb plodding number with piercing guitars and ghostly vocals... Ooohhhhhhoohhhhh eeerrrrrr etc... That's supposed to be a ghostly vocal line.
