The Bookshelf EP is brought to you by Wolfram Wire & Alisia Casper with help from the nice people at Drahtwald. It's quite a curious little 7" with it's cut-up male/female improv vocal duets and odd instrumental accompaniment, coming in at the cuddlier end of the avant garde spectrum.. But maybe that's just the artwork talking. Phil reckons it sounds like a barbershop quartet who've had their performances all cut up and stuck back together, which I'd say is a pretty fair comment. Apparently Wolfram Wire popped up on the excellent Roj album and has worked with Broadcast in the past - on the evidence of this interesting release it's not hard to see why his skills are in demand. Hand-numbered edition of 200!
