8/10 Ant Staff review, 13 January 2011

This was previously issued on CD in 2007 on Volubilis Records and is on wax for the first time. This shows yet another side to this multi-faceted artist and when I first listened I was unaware it was Baker and would never have guessed in a million years. Here he plays acoustic and bass guitars, flute, synth and does vocals while he is joined by Richard Baker on Drums, Lucas Baker on trumpet and Sarah Gleadow on violin. The first track has lovely strings while the trumpet adds a jazz element to proceedings, then are are distant voices and strange effects, it threatens to become unsettling but never quite gets there keeping a controlled sense of tension. 'Radar Been Mend Ok' begins relatively straight up jazz before being splattered in stuttering synth noise while the drums collapse around it. The jazz noise continues on the flip while there are also more restrained and even groovier moments.
