I've found what I've heard of Blue Roses in the past to be super pleasant so it's nice to have the 12" of 'Does Anyone Love Me Now' in my little pile. The main track, also on the album, has some subtly inventive production touches and represents a fine showcase for Laura Groves' spirited, passionate vocals and the version of 'Doubtful Comforts' recorded live with Grammatics (who complement her really nicely, it has to be said) shows she can more than pull it off live. Side B features (I think) two new tracks, one a cover and one a new Blue Roses track proper. This slab of modern folkiness and quality songwriting will be more than enough to tempt fans, I'm sure!
