Points for this one, the album is outstanding. It's fresh in some ways and yet still feels familiar to some of the old school funk/rock bands. Don't let anything fool you about the appearance of this album....this is James Brown and George Clinton inspired funk. It isn't the same as either of those guys but keeps the same hard driving beat and moves it forward into the 21st century. Many people will call this R&B but unless you're talking about the 60's when Staxx Records and Motown were called R&B you're in the wrong category.
