Beirut have a lot to answer for and heres more - its an album by Implosion Quintet called 'The Future Sound of Yesterday' and is the project of one James R Baker. So it takes...um....'world' influences and marries them to a kind of post Radiohead post apocalyptic post rock snarl and the shifting prog rock of King Crimson. Lots of Eastern European/balkan influences. Very progressive. Being a white bread and Britney man myself I'm a bit out of my depth in its ever changing twirls but fans of the afore mentioned Beirut, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, Matt Elliott, Barry Adamson, Eastern European cinema should find plenty to wrap their ears around.
