7/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 28th June 2015

Wilco the band's 7th studio album is "Wilco" the album and it opens with "Wilco" the song. It's an almost "Lady Madonna" style stomp. This is not their best and there aren't a great deal of outstanding moments, but to my mind, as it's a Wilco album it is naturally of a decent standard. There's a nice 1970s warmth to the whole thing. "One Wing" and "You Never Know" are two of the better tracks. The latter of the two has an early '70s George Harrison feel to it. "Solitaire" is notable for it's Nick Drake-style acoustic guitar and the melody is reminiscent of "Good Vibrations". Good, but not up to the standard of their best stuff.
