xNoBBQx...There, I said it. Yeah, that was directed at you that was. Actually, that really is a google search shagging moniker courtesy of two Australians who approach the medium of music making with about the same level of retarded glee you used to experience at the hands of bands such as Happy Flowers. 'Skewer' almost encourages me to adopt what I call "word turds" to describe their music. Word turds are mangled words of no use to man nor beast, indiscriminately dropped into sentences brikkle like that. 'Skewer' is the sound of 100 pissed mice with (mouse) para boots running around an empty music studio. I'm reminded of the lo-fi Siltbreeze gragulop sound but without any actual tunes. There's plenty of stoopid free rock attitude to this trashed, discordant, scribbly 10". The essence of a 1000 pissy back yards full of old trash and charity shop guitars with taped fret boards, 3 detuned strings, plaid shirts, cheap liquor and a drumkit made of dented biscuit tins. Fropeless sound for hunkled ears. On Golden Lab, sonic adventurers extraordinaire.
