Nine tracks on one 7"? These Lucky Dragons folks is crazy, plain crazy! I thought I'd reviewed these before and made a really shit job of it but looking on the site that's not actually the case so I'll have to make a shit job of reviewing this one instead. Shame really, 'cos it's well good. 'Vraid Noms/True Names' contains a suite of lush repetition on the A-side ('Honeycomb House' parts 1, 2 and 3) that ebbs, flows, starts up, blares out then blurs back into abstraction several times throughout its gently experimental course. The flip seems to have a bit of an oriental thing going on in terms of the keys and instruments used and it's no less intriguing than the stuff that preceeded it. This wonderful little record contains more ideas than most bands have in their entire careers, coming off like an unclassifiable melting pot of electronica, acoustic experimentation, drone, ambient, whatever. It's really hard to describe if you've not heard them before but if you've got a love of pure sound you're going to be well into it. There's just the 350 copies in the world, it comes with a download code and there's fifteen different covers doing the rounds. Gotta catch 'em all!
